Today marks my new year. And not bad for a start because I
am not late for work! Yeepee! And the list doesn't end there. You see, this is
one of the perks of having a planner or just a simple notebook to write down
your plans and things you've got to do. The physical paper works for me rather
than the ones we have in our smartphones. So, I told myself that from now on,
all the notes I've written in my planner will be done. Even if not on the exact
date, but at least it was completed.
First on my list is
NOT to be late for work EVER. I know it’s hard but I will try. Yes I will try. Haha!
Well yeah maybe there will be times that I’ll still be late but I will try to
lessen it. I need to this due to the numerous times of tardiness in my DTR. And
I hate it. That’s not me. I know I need to change but not on a negative aspect.
Next in line is
health. I again, gained weight when I stopped training for MMA. So, I’ve
contacted my friend John’s personal trainer and friend, Alex to help me out
with circuit training. We’re supposed to start this week but because there were
some unexpected expenses, I need to move it by next week. Then by March, I will
go back to MMA training and work with Alex at the same time. And by June if Sir
Henry (Coach and Founder of Hybrid YawYan Gym, Team Kobayashi) will still host
the in house MMA tournament for his members, I will compete as we've discussed
over the phone one time. So I really need to be fit ASAP. Just so you know, I already started to
cut down and change my food intake. Less sugar, carbs and fats. Again, HARD but I want to do this!
I mentioned “unexpected expenses” above and that brings me
to my next change. Learn to budget. Prioritize the things you need first before
luxuries. I am so not good at budgeting that’s why my wallet is always on
critical level whenever the payday is near. Note to self, important stuff first
before unnecessary stuff.
Last but definitely not the least, temper. I WILL try my
best to keep it cool on things that flare me up. I really don’t like that part
of me. That is not good and healthy. Breathing exercise is effective whenever I
am starting to lose my temper. It helps clear out your lungs, increases energy
and decreases tension. I included this on my list because I realized that being
short tempered will not do you good. It will just ruin your day and others. So
as much as possible, be calm, relaxed and assertive towards things or people. I
read one time on a friend’s post on Facebook that it is not the people or the
events happened on our day that ruins it, but us. It all depends on our
reaction. It’s like a domino effect you know, if you started your day reacting
on things negatively, then your day will turn out shitty. But, if you started
it with being positive and assertive, then we’re all happy.
I know this is all hard at first but there’s nothing wrong
if you’ll try. Because in the end, this is truly worth it.
